Can I download entire threads?
Absolutely! This is one of our standout features. When you paste a thread URL, we detect all posts in the thread and let you download all images and videos as an organized ZIP file with smart naming.
Will downloads have watermarks?
No watermarks, ever. You get the original content in full quality, exactly as it was posted on Bluesky.
What video quality do I get?
We provide the highest quality available from the Bluesky post. For videos, we extract the best quality stream, typically 1080p when available.
How are carousel images downloaded?
When you download a post with multiple images (carousel), all images are automatically packaged into a ZIP file for easy downloading and organization.
Privacy & Safety
Is this safe to use?
Yes! We only access public Bluesky posts. We don't store your downloads, track your activity, or require any permissions. Your privacy is our priority.
Do you store the content I download?
No. We process downloads on-the-fly and don't keep any copies. The content goes directly from Bluesky to your device.
Will the creator know I downloaded their content?
No. The download process is completely private. We don't notify anyone when you download their posts.
Can I download private or protected posts?
No. BlueSkySaver only works with public posts that anyone can access. We don't ask for your Bluesky credentials and don't access private accounts.

How do I install BlueSkySaver as an app?
On mobile, visit BlueSkySaver in your browser and look for 'Add to Home Screen' (iOS Safari) or 'Install app' (Android Chrome). On desktop, Chrome will show an install button in the address bar.
Which browsers are supported?
BlueSkySaver works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes! BlueSkySaver is fully compatible with iOS Safari. The paste button works seamlessly on iPhone and iPad.
Performance & Limits
How fast is the download process?
Most downloads process in under 3 seconds. We use edge servers to ensure lightning-fast speeds no matter where you are.
Is there a download limit?
No limits! Download as many videos, images, and threads as you want. We believe in unlimited access for everyone.
Can I download multiple posts at once?
Currently, you can download one post at a time. However, if that post is a thread, we'll download all media from the entire thread in one ZIP file.
What's the maximum video length?
Bluesky supports videos up to 3 minutes long, and we can download all of them regardless of length.
Troubleshooting
What if a download fails?
If a download fails, first check that the URL is correct and the post is public. If it still doesn't work, try refreshing the page and attempting again. Contact us if the problem persists.
Why isn't the paste button working?
The paste button uses the Clipboard API, which requires HTTPS. It works on our production site (blueskysaver.com) but may not work on localhost during development.
Can I download deleted posts?
No. If a post has been deleted from Bluesky, we can't access it to download the content.
What if the video won't play after downloading?
Downloaded videos are in MP4 format, which plays on all modern devices. If you have issues, try using VLC Media Player or updating your device's video player.
