  • No Download Storage: We never store the videos, images, or content you download. Everything is processed on-the-fly and sent directly to your device.
  • No URL Tracking: We don't log or track which Bluesky posts you download.
  • No Accounts: We don't require registration, so we don't collect names, emails, passwords, or any personal information.
  • No Personal Data: We don't collect IP addresses for tracking, browser fingerprints, or any identifiable information.
  • No Third-Party Selling: We will never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties.

What We Do Collect

To provide our service and improve performance, we collect minimal technical data:

1. Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how people use BlueSkySaver:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
  • Browser type and version
  • General geographic location (country-level, not city or street)
  • Download success/failure rates (to monitor service health)

2. Technical Logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects basic server logs:

  • HTTP request metadata (timestamp, user agent, referrer)
  • Error logs for debugging (automatically deleted after 30 days)
  • Performance metrics (page load times, API response times)

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function (session management, security)
  • Analytics Cookies: Optional cookies for usage statistics (you can disable these in your browser)
  • No advertising or tracking cookies

How We Use Data

The minimal data we collect is used exclusively for:

Bluesky API

When you download content, we fetch it from Bluesky's public API. We only access publicly available posts. Bluesky's privacy policy applies to content hosted on their platform.

Analytics (Optional)

We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools (like Vercel Analytics or Plausible) that don't use cookies or track personal data. These tools are GDPR-compliant and don't share data with third parties.

Data Retention

  • Download Content: Never stored (processed and immediately discarded)
  • Error Logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized, retained for 12 months
  • Cookies: Expire after 12 months or when you clear your browser

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request what data we have about you (likely none, since we don't track users)
  • Deletion: Request deletion of any data we may have

Security

We take security seriously. BlueSkySaver uses HTTPS encryption for all connections, secure server configurations, and regular security audits. However, no internet service is 100% secure. We recommend using BlueSkySaver only for publicly available content.
